Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use the Apex Mission Viejo Sunrooms and Patios website, contact us or hire us for work on your house. By using the site or asking us for a quote, you agree to them.

If you sign a written contract with us for a project, that contract governs the job. Where the contract and these terms differ, the contract wins.

Who we are and what we do

We're a sunroom contractor in Mission Viejo, CA. We design and build sunroom additions, patio enclosures, screen rooms and patio covers, convert existing patios and decks, and remodel sunrooms for homeowners in Mission Viejo and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page and see the full list of services from the home page.

What's on this site is general information about how this kind of work usually goes. It isn't advice for your particular house, because every yard, slab and roofline is different until we've seen it in person.

Estimates and pricing

Quotes are free, we give them on site, and there's no obligation to hire us. A quote is based on what we can see and measure during the visit, along with the size, materials and options you choose.

A quote is not a contract. The price you pay is the one in the written contract you sign, and any change you ask for after that is priced and agreed in writing before we do it.

Some conditions only show up once work starts, like hidden water damage, a slab or footing that won't carry the new structure, or framing that isn't what it looked like. If we find something like that, we stop, show you, explain the options and get your written approval before the price changes.

Scheduling and cancellation

Start and finish dates are our best estimate. Weather, material and glass deliveries, inspections and approvals can move them, and we'll tell you as soon as we know a date is going to slip.

You agree to give our crew reasonable access to the work area on scheduled days and to keep pets, vehicles and belongings clear of it. If we can't get in on a scheduled day, the job may move to the next open date.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call or write to us as soon as you can. You keep any right to cancel that California law gives you. After that, your contract sets out what's owed for work already done and for materials ordered for your project, since custom-sized panels, glass and frames often can't be returned.

Payment terms

Your written contract lists the payment schedule, the amount due at each stage and the ways you can pay. Any deposit we ask for will stay within what California law allows for home improvement work.

Final payment is due when the work in the contract is complete. If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made, and you're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an overdue balance where the law allows it.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We guarantee your satisfaction on every job. If something we built isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and make it right.

Products like glass, windows, vinyl and aluminum framing and roof panels come with their makers' own warranties. We pass those along to you, and claims under them follow the maker's terms.

Our guarantee doesn't cover normal wear, damage from storms, settling or other events outside our control, misuse, poor upkeep, or changes and repairs made by someone else. Beyond what's written in your contract and the makers' warranties, we make no other promises about the work or the products, to the extent the law allows.

Limits on our liability

We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work as described above. Outside of that, to the extent California law allows, our liability for any claim tied to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for the work the claim is about.

We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or other costs that follow from a delay or a defect. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that California law doesn't allow us to limit.

Using this website

We try to keep the site accurate and current, but it's provided as is, and we don't promise it will always be complete, error free or available. Photos and descriptions show typical work and aren't a promise of how your project will look.

The site may link to outside websites, such as a city or county office. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they say.

Resolving a disagreement

If you're unhappy with anything, call us first, because most problems get sorted out with a conversation and a visit. We'll work with you in good faith to fix it.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us may bring the matter in small claims court or in the state courts serving Orange County, California, unless your contract says otherwise.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version, but a change won't alter a contract you've already signed with us.
